Students of the madarsa actively participated in the preparation. They decorated the premises with tricolor balloons, ribbons and national flags. The head care taker of the madras Mr Mohd Imran hoisted the National flag followed by the National Anthem. This entailed a short celebration including a patriotic group song by the Madrsa students and speech on history and significance of Independence Day by the director of the NGO Dr. Abhishek Sharma. He explained the students the value of hard earned Independence and how our freedom fighters struggled to set India free from British rule. The hoisting program was concluded by vote of the thanks by the Imam Mr Tarique Mohammad of the Madrsa and distribution of refreshments. The celebration continued till evening. Various activities like Independence Day quiz and discussion sessions were conducted. Students participated with great enthusiasm and energy. The whole day activities culminated by scrumptious dinner. The students were served delicious hydarabadi biryani. The Independence Day celebration was one of the experiences for the madarsa students, they thoroughly enjoyed it. This full day activity was organized by Miracles Happen foundation as a part of Azadi ka Amrita ka Mahatsov and celebration of 76th Independence Day.
